Tech Bureau Inc, which operated Zaif, claims they detected a server error on Sep. 17th and immediately suspended deposits and withdrawals before realizing they were being hacked the next day. The majority of stolen assets were Bitcoin ($BTC) but also included Bitcoin Cash ($BCH) and MonaCoin ($MONA). Fisco Digital Asset Group will help cover customer losses by providing 5.0 billion yen, around $44.5 million, to the exchange in return for an agreement to dismiss more than half of Tech Bureau's directors and the firm's auditors.
